Wedding, Birthday and Special Occasion Cakes
Let Chef Paul's prepare your next birthday or special occasion cake. All cakes are made from scratch in our kitchens and decorated entirely to your specifications. Below is a list of options to create your special cake. Special Requests
We have created completely edible flower arrangements topped with butterflies, hats adorned with realistic edible roses, tugboats, teddy bears, women's torsos (in good taste), and even an 18" bass copied from a husband's fishing trip photo. We look forward to outlandish requests!
Decoration:
Our cakes are decorated entirely to your specifications, or you can let us be creative if you so desire. We will be happy to recreate an invitation or cartoon for your cake top but we request that you bring us a picture of how you would like it to appear. We have "photo cake" technology and can print a photo or any picture that can be created in or scanned into a computer on edible paper and then place it on your frosted cake, cupcakes, or cookies. Our highly creative staff can bake you a cake to look like just about anything you desire if you give us sufficient advance notice. Some decorations may incur an additional charge but you will be notified upon ordering your cake if this is the case.
Handling:
All of our cakes are made from scratch with the freshest ingredients. They are fragile and require refrigeration until they are to be served. The only exception is our buttercream cakes. Since they are made with real butter they should be refrigerated until about 2 or 3 hours before your event and then left at room temperature for the butter to soften.

Cake Consultation and Tasting
We offer cake consultations by appointment only. Please allow one week advance notice. During the consultation you will browse through our cake photos, and discuss your personal wedding cake ideas. You will receive 5 cake samples of your choice. There is a $5.00 fee for the cake samples which is refundable if you order your wedding cake from us. Consultations usually take about 45 minutes.
Wedding Cake Ordering
We suggest that you order your cake as soon as the wedding date is set. 2-4 months is the average planning time we require. We can create wedding cakes with one week notice but design choices are extremely limited. Tiered wedding cakes require a minimum guest count of 50 people. We require a 30% deposit upon ordering, the final guest count one week prior to delivery, and final payment 2 days prior to delivery. We accept cash, personal check (final payment must be made one week prior to delivery if paying by check), MasterCard, or Visa.
Wedding Cake Delivery
Your wedding cake will be delivered at your wedding location at the time you or your location specifies. We insist on delivering all of our wedding cakes (no pickups available) and will deliver anywhere in Illinois or Wisconsin for a fee. Delivery charges vary by location. Deliveries are scheduled on a first come first serve basis so please secure your date and time early.
